Responsibilities

The Clinical Dietitian is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for planning and implementing nutritional care plans for individuals and groups. This includes assessing nutritional needs, developing and implementing care plans, and providing education to patients on prescribed diets.

The Clinical Dietitian will work in various settings, including ambulatory and in-patient care, as well as community partners. In-patient care includes medical, surgical, and obstetrics units, where the Clinical Dietitian will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and Education to patients on prescribed diets.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a Dietetic Internship and successful completion of the Registration Exam
  • Registered Licensed Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration
  • Completion of an internship or equivalent experience in an acute, longer-term, or ambulatory care setting
  • Preferred: 1-3 years of experience and certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator
