  • Patch Management:
    Support the management of patching protocols for Windows Server and Redhat Linux systems. Formulate and execute strategies for patch management to minimize operational disruptions while ensuring compliance.
  • End of Life Software Management:
    Monitor and manage software nearing its end of service life. Work closely with application stakeholders to strategize upgrades or replacements, ensuring all software remains compliant with security standards.
  • Security Monitoring:
    Oversee security alerts and incidents associated with vulnerabilities and patch management. Assist in investigating security breaches involving unpatched systems or outdated software, providing actionable recommendations to bolster security posture.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain comprehensive records of vulnerability assessments, patch management activities, and software remediation efforts. Prepare detailed reports for management, summarizing the status of vulnerabilities and compliance.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CEH are advantageous.
  • Experience: Previous experience or internships in vulnerability management, server OS patching, or software lifecycle management is preferred. Familiarity with tools like Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7 is beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to non-technical audiences, and a meticulous approach to detail and compliance.
