Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our gastroenterology department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care services in an outpatient office and hospital setting.

Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine examinations, conducting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' medical histories and perform routine examinations to identify potential health issues.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as endoscopies and colonoscopies, to diagnose gastrointestinal disorders.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on test results and patient feedback.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in gastroenterology to provide evidence-based care.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as medicine or nursing.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
  • At least one year of experience in internal medicine and/or gastroenterology.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Familiarity with hepatobiliary services and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
