Senior Care Associate Job Description

At Arbol Residences Santa Rosa Senior Living, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Associate to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, grooming, and bathing.
  • Report any changes in residents' medical, mental, or physical conditions to medical staff and keep nurses informed.
  • Transport residents to and from their apartments, medical appointments, and special events.
  • Respond promptly to all "Call for Aide" requests.
Additional Duties:
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for residents.
  • Accurately record observations and services rendered to residents.
  • Encourage residents to be as independent as possible and participate in activities.
  • Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
  • Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Must clear through the California Department of Justice Live scan program.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively with residents and staff in English, and perform simple arithmetic.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

We require our Senior Care Associates to be able to walk long distances, assist with bathing and dressing, push wheelchairs, and lift up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Good visual and hearing acuity, as well as good verbal communication skills, are also essential.
