We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at University Hospitals. As an Athletic Trainer, you will play a critical role in supporting our athletes and athletic programs by providing comprehensive fitness, nutrition, and injury care services.
Key Responsibilities- Supports Athletes and Athletic Programs
- Provides fitness and nutrition programs to enhance athletic performance
- Develops and implements injury care and prevention strategies
- Performs Athlete Evaluations
- Conducts thorough evaluations of athletes to identify potential injuries or health risks
- Develops effective treatment plans to address identified issues
- Provides Education and Training
- Educates athletes and families on injury prevention and treatment
- Provides guidance on proper nutrition and fitness techniques
- Maintains Accurate Records
- Uses preferred injury tracking software to document athlete evaluations and treatment plans
- Ensures accurate and timely reporting of athlete injuries and health status
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine or related field
- Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience as an Athletic Trainer
- Experience with general principles of injury prevention and first aid
- Credentials and Certifications
- Board of Certification (BOC) - Certified
- Licensed by OTPTAT Board to practice athletic training in the State of Ohio
