Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for skilled and dedicated Heavy Vehicle Technicians to enhance our team in Tioga and Williston. This position entails working on semi-trucks, ready-mix trucks, and various other vehicles in our fleet. The successful candidate will possess at least 3 years of hands-on experience, a proactive approach, and the capability to execute a diverse array of mechanical tasks, including engine repairs, routine maintenance, and servicing. Proficiency in electrical systems is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engine repairs, routine maintenance, and servicing on semi-trucks and ready-mix trucks, covering oil changes, transfer case upkeep, differential servicing, and more.
  • Manage repairs and maintenance of braking systems, suspension components, wheel bearings, hydraulic leaks, and other truck parts.
  • Utilize software applications to oversee DVIRs, monitor repairs, and manage maintenance schedules.
  • Work on a variety of engine types, including those from Caterpillar, Detroit, and Cummins.
  • Perform maintenance and repair duties on front discharge mixer trucks equipped with automatic Allison transmissions and DD13/Cummins engines, ensuring proper hydraulic functionality.
  • Employ strong electrical expertise to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components on trucks and machinery.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace in our yard facilities.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure the fleet is in optimal condition and ready for service.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy vehicle technician.
  • Experience with Caterpillar, Detroit, and Cummins engines is preferred.
  • Expertise in working with braking systems, suspension, wheel bearings, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
  • Capability to utilize software programs for tracking repairs and maintenance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A valid driver's license; CDL is preferred but not mandatory.
