Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Administrative Director of Imaging and Physical Therapy, along with the Radiology Director and in collaboration with the Medical Director, the Radiologic Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing professional tasks related to various technical procedures that utilize prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging purposes. This role requires independent judgment, creativity, and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the evaluation, treatment, or care tailored to the age-specific needs of patients.
  • Exhibits the capability to gather and interpret information relevant to patient requirements.
  • Possesses an understanding of growth and development, ensuring appropriate treatment for diverse patient demographics.
  • Ensures departmental compliance with established regulations and standards set by governing bodies.
  • May be assigned to assist in other imaging modalities as needed.
  • Adheres to AIDET principles and is open to reassignment and additional responsibilities in a flexible and positive manner.
  • Must maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • On-call duties are required.
  • If trained in multiple modalities (C.T., M.R.I., Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology), the technologist will be responsible for on-call duties for two of the specified modalities during the on-call period.

Qualifications:

  • Education that meets certification, licensing, or registration requirements.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Radiographer License or Temporary License
  • National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months of hire
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • New graduates must possess an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
