We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our General Liability Litigation Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defending and trying all types of tort claims, including construction, premises, products, toxic tort, and subrogation matters in both state and federal jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:

  • Defend and try tort claims in state and federal jurisdictions
  • Conduct discovery, depositions, and hearings
  • Prepare and negotiate settlements
  • Draft complaints, motions, briefs, memorandums, and other legal correspondence
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys and staff
  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Member and in good standing of the Illinois State Bar
  • 2-5 years of experience in general liability, insurance defense, and/or general civil defense litigation
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organized and prioritizes tasks while meeting deadlines efficiently
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to think strategically
