Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of patients to identify their medical needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Order and execute various tests and diagnostic images to inform patient care and treatment decisions.
- Diagnose and treat diseases, disorders, and injuries based on patient medical history and physical assessment results.
- Prescribe medications and therapies to promote patient health and well-being.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and self-care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, best practices, and regulatory requirements to provide high-quality patient care.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Physician Assistants or Master's degree from an accredited School of Nursing and ability to practice as an APRN in the State of Texas.
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas or unrestricted license to practice Nursing in the State of Texas/current credentialing as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Current certification in area of specialty.
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) for the purpose of writing prescriptions.
- Current Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) through American Heart Association.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers through American Heart Association.
- One year of direct patient care experience as a provider.
