Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Under the supervision of licensed nurses or medical staff, this role involves performing various patient care duties, including collecting and recording patient data, vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Responsibilities
  • Collect and record patient data, vital signs, and assist with ADLs
  • Answer call lights and complete patient rounds
  • Help with completing/maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharge
  • Take care of patient personal hygiene and assist with patient clean-up
  • Comply with Baylor Scott and White policies and procedures
Requirements

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
