We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our team at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. As an LPN II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in our Medical/Surgical Services and Adult Behavioral Medicine Unit.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses in data collection to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Perform various activities related to the needs of adult and geriatric patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Actively accept, understand, and practice appropriate standards of medical/surgical and psychiatric nursing.
- Contribute to the nursing assessment of the patient.
- Document accurate and factual information on all records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Exercise sound clinical judgment and critical thinking in all aspects of the nursing process.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current LPN license in the State of Alabama.
- Minimum two years of hospital LPN experience for Medical-Surgical Services, or one year of psychiatric nursing experience for Adult Behavioral Medicine Unit.
- Current ACLS certification.
