Position Overview:
We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our West Customer Engineering team. This role involves a commitment to 10-15% domestic travel and requires onsite engagement during critical project execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead initiatives in Air Products' Basic Safety Program, ensuring the project team meets safety targets throughout all project phases.
- Develop technical proposals and provide maintenance support to the Commercial Liquid Bulk Sales team, aligning with customer needs.
- Create detailed equipment layouts and flow schematic diagrams.
- Collaborate with external contractors for permitting, construction, manifold fabrication, piping installations, and system analytical certifications.
- Engage in alignment teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities, enhancing customer service efficiency.

Collaboration and Mentorship:
The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager and other key team members, receiving in-house training and mentorship from regional Customer Engineering professionals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership focus on Air Products' Basic Safety program, driving the project team to achieve safety targets.
- Basic understanding of drafting or CAD for designing layouts and system flow schematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and understand process and customer technology.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, results-oriented mindset, and the capacity to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary design team across various locations.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize multiple projects while adhering to contract requirements.
- Knowledge of NFPA and CGA codes is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of Project Engineering experience.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is a plus.

Work Hours and Benefits:
- Standard work hours are Monday to Friday during regular business hours, with flexible start and end times between 7 AM and 7 PM.
- Hybrid work model: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, unless traveling for job sites.
