Core Responsibilities

The Paramedic will:

  • Deliver both basic and advanced life support to patients in emergency situations.
  • Assess, intervene, and stabilize patients in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
  • Implement treatment protocols established by the transport team.
  • Monitor and document patient conditions and treatments accurately.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care plans.
  • Ensure the safety and maintenance of medical equipment.
Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following:

  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of employment.
    • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of employment.
    • One of the following credentials:
      • Paramedic specializing in Flight certification.
      • Paramedic certification from the Florida Emergency Medical Services.
  • Education:
    • High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of job-specific experience.
Additional Preferences

Participation in hurricane response teams is required.
