As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on adult and pediatric patients, as well as operating ultrasound and associated equipment with proficiency. You will also be required to prioritize and coordinate ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians, and provide adequate patient care as it relates to the exam requested.

Responsibilities:

* Perform ultrasound examinations on adult and pediatric patients
* Operate ultrasound and associated equipment with proficiency
* Prioritize and coordinate ultrasound exams with nursing units, radiologists, and referring physicians
* Provide adequate patient care as it relates to the exam requested
* Evaluate technical quality of exam and develop a superior varied technique for elevated efficiency in the department
* Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient
* Assist Radiologist in performance of invasive procedures
* Support and contribute to the Patient-Centered Care Philosophy
* Report malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer and/or Engineer
* Operate the Radiology computer system to include entering and charging exams and supplies
* Maintain assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion
* Assist in keeping the area completely stocked

Requirements:

* Must have Radiology Tech experience within the last year in ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL SETTING
* Must be registered/eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
* Must possess Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) from TDH
* Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
