Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet industry standards.
  • Identify and document deficiencies found during inspections, and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Perform minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
  • Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding through communicating devices, such as laptop computers, smartphones, and/or hardcopy.
  • Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in life safety systems.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • NICET I certification or ability to obtain within 8 months of hire.
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Willing to travel out of town.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
