Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Service Tire Truck Center Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical and air brake systems, as well as proficiency in using diagnostic software for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance, federal inspections, troubleshooting, and general repairs on tractors, trailers, and straight trucks.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and federal inspections on trucks and trailers.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air brake systems using diagnostic software.
  • Ensure compliance with state inspection regulations and standards.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and air brake systems in trucks and trailers.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic software for troubleshooting and repair mechanical, electrical, and air brake systems.
  • Able to conduct routine preventive maintenance and federal inspections on trucks and trailers.
  • State inspection certification is a plus where applicable.
  • Possession of a Class C drivers license is required; CDL is preferred.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must own a set of basic hand tools.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
