About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to join our AWS Support team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development of critical services that enable AWS customers to reach support resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the development of one or more critical services that AWS customers use to reach support resources.
  • Set the vision for the team and drive execution toward that vision.
  • Maintain a high operational bar, driving high availability and security of your product.
  • Hire and develop the best engineers to join your team.
  • Partner with product leaders to invent new ways to delight customers.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience.
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective product software engineers.
