About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Visual Arts Teaching Artist to join our Art Center team. As a per diem employee, you will lead students through high-quality course objectives, implement skill-based learning, and encourage innovation and critical thinking.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of professional teaching experience in a youth or adult education setting, particularly with older adult learners. You will be responsible for generating class ideas, selecting and planning activities, creating syllabi and lesson plans, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

A commitment to lifelong learning, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to present information in an engaging way are essential qualities for this role.

Your compensation will be based on enrollment, ranging from $44 to $72 per hour. The pay scale is as follows: $44/hour for 5-7 students, $48/hour for 8-9 students, $57/hour for 10-13 students, $62/hour for 14-17 students, and $72/hour for 18+ students.
