Responsibilities

As an integral member of our healthcare team, the Registered Nurse (RN) will operate within the scope of practice as defined by the state, aligning with the ANA scope and standards for pediatric nursing practice.

The RN will strictly adhere to our policies, procedures, and care guidelines while delivering safe, family-centered patient care. Utilizing the nursing care process, the RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care collaboratively with the patient, the patient's family, and fellow members of the healthcare team.

The role involves supervising and delegating tasks to certified nursing assistants, and others in accordance with the state administrative code.

The RN will actively contribute to achieving our mission and goals by integrating and embodying initiatives such as values-based behavior and healthy work environment into daily work.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN/BSN or higher)
  • Previous experience in a pediatric-related healthcare setting
  • Current Washington state RN license, or other current state license as required for employment
  • Current basic life support (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Pediatric emergency assessment, recognition, and stabilization (PEARS), and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) are acceptable substitutes for BLS
  • A copy of the highest level of academic achievement must be on record with human resources upon hire, or for personnel trained outside of the U.S., a documented equivalency evaluation by a foreign credentialing agency
