Join Our Team as a Licensed-Eligible Community Based Counselor

At EMS of Virginia (Educating, Mentoring, Success), we're seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) registered with the Board of Counseling to provide Intensive In-home and Mental Health Skill Building Services in the greater Richmond area. As a licensed or licensed-eligible counselor, you'll have the opportunity to work with clients in a community-based setting, providing individualized services plans and quarterly reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1-1 mental health counseling related to goals
  • Provide skill building to adults with serious mental illness
  • Take adult clients to appointments and link with resources in the community
  • Case Management to ensure client's basic needs are met
  • Provide individual and family counseling to children and adolescents
  • Complete individualized services plans and quarterly reports
  • Complete progress notes for each session with a client
  • Provide information for authorization of services
  • Meet regularly for supervision and attendance at team meetings
