Excela Health is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Cardiopulmonary team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing respiratory therapy and pulmonary function testing to patients, as well as instructing and training subordinate staff members.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide respiratory therapy and pulmonary function testing to patients, as ordered by physicians, in accordance with established standards and practices.
- Instruct and train subordinate staff members on respiratory therapy techniques and procedures.
- Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Conduct pulmonary function tests for patients, as ordered by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.
- Develop and implement continuing education programs for subordinate staff members.
- Collaborate with the Cardiopulmonary Manager to ensure departmental policies and procedures are followed.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
- Current Pennsylvania State License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Certified in basic CPR course C.
- Registration as required.
- Sufficient previous experience in respiratory therapy.
This position is subject to the hazards of flammable gases. The incumbent will be required to lift, push, and pull equipment, and will frequently be on their feet and walking. Rotating weekends and shifts may be required.
