We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at WellNow Urgent Care. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Take patient history and obtain vital signs
- Perform basic testing and screenings, such as vision, audio, and urine drug screens
- Collect laboratory samples and accurately complete corresponding paperwork
- Assist providers with exams and testing, including pelvic exams, eye irrigations, and ear irrigations
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Perform registration duties, including explaining insurance options and collecting payments
- Accompany providers to the bedside and accurately document patient information
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Ability to identify equipment problems and correct or notify team leader
- Ability to apply written instructions and standardized work practices
- Excellent listening and note-taking skills
- Basic computer skills, including EMR
- Demonstrated ability to type at least 45 words per minute
- Strong communication skills, including grammatical, spelling, and verbal
