Special Testing Laboratories (STL) is seeking a qualified Certified Structural Steel Inspector to join our team. This position entails conducting inspections of steel components on construction sites and within fabrication facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with project managers to assess various stages of steel assembly, including welding, bolting, and structural framing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough inspections of steel structures and components.
  • Generate detailed daily inspection reports.
  • Work in tandem with office personnel to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior inspectors.

Qualifications:
The ideal applicant should possess a high school diploma, with further education being advantageous. Proven experience in the field is essential, along with AWS-CWI Certification or certification in progress. Additional qualifications such as UT and OSHA certifications are preferred. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and a valid driver's license with access to a dependable vehicle are required.
