SAIC is in search of a Lead Training Specialist to support our training initiatives. This position is primarily on-site and may involve occasional travel.

The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing training programs tailored to meet the learning needs of both external clients and internal personnel.

Key responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, developing customized training courses, establishing criteria for measuring the success of training objectives, and performing evaluations and assessments of learning outcomes. When delivering training within an accredited educational framework, the Specialist will oversee the organization, communication, and presentation of course materials, as well as the creation of engaging learning activities and demonstrations.

Collaboration with clients and internal teams is essential to refine and assess both new and existing training objectives and course materials. The Specialist may also be tasked with producing training content, instructional materials, visual aids, and documentation to facilitate various instructional methods, including lectures, hands-on exercises, field training, computer-based training (CBT), and web-based training (WBT). Additionally, the role may involve developing assessment materials and evaluating participants' achievement of learning goals. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of training programs will be conducted to assess effectiveness and implement necessary improvements.

Qualifications
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • Ability to work independently or collaboratively to analyze documentation (technical manuals, instructions, etc.) and create educational materials (lesson plans, presentations, and handouts) specifically for designated systems.
    • Experience in reviewing and updating existing training support materials.
    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to provide training to military personnel and other stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with specific military systems and software is required.
    • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills for delivering instructions to diverse groups.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, with experience in using Teams for information sharing and Outlook for communication.
    • Must be a US Citizen capable of obtaining a SECRET security clearance; an active clearance is preferred.
    • Training certification is mandatory; candidates must either possess it upon hire or commit to obtaining it, which may involve travel.
    DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
    • Experience with Tactical Communication Systems.
