Essel is collaborating with a prominent multi-family residential development firm and its associated general contracting entity in search of a Jobsite Superintendent to oversee multi-family residential construction initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Senior Project Manager.

Act as the primary individual accountable for the quality, safety, and timeline of the construction site, ensuring compliance with all construction documents and interpreting them as necessary.

Coordinate scheduling for subcontractors, inspectors, jobsite preparations, and material deliveries.

Lead and document weekly meetings with foremen and conduct tailgate safety discussions.

Evaluate and approve the work completed by subcontractors.

Initiate and recommend changes regarding change orders.

Prepare Daily Jobsite Reports and lookahead schedules.

Maintain jobsite cleanliness, safety, and overall conditions.

Monitor and implement field changes, Requests for Information (RFIs), and submittals.

Collaborate with subcontractors to gather all necessary project closeout documentation.

Develop and manage subcontractor Punch-Lists.

Obtain Certificate of Occupancy.

Conduct Owner walk-throughs, turnover processes, and Warranty/Customer Service operations.

Required Skills:
Must be a motivated self-starter with a proven track record of delivering construction projects defect-free, safely, and on schedule.

Must possess strong organizational skills, decisiveness, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.

Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities are required.

Qualifications:
Minimum of TEN years of experience in site supervision.

At least FIVE years of experience in multi-family residential construction.

Familiarity with local subcontractors and inspectors in the Los Angeles area is preferred.

Experience with structural concrete and podium construction is required.

Technical knowledge of construction methods and practices is essential.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and specifications is necessary.

Skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel are required.
