Food Science Internship Opportunity

Post Holdings Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Science Intern to join our Research and Development Department for a 10-week program.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to engage in diverse projects, including process and product development, process capability and optimization, and production startup across our product range.
  • Apply your food processing and food science knowledge to gain valuable experience within the food industry.
  • Work closely with business leaders to drive technical and scientific advancements, leveraging both internal and external resources.
  • Integrate business requirements into technical decision-making processes.
  • Engage in hands-on work across laboratory and manufacturing environments.
  • Analyze and assess processing design and data to support project objectives.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple assignments and tasks concurrently.
  • Travel to various Post Holdings plants/locations to support project needs.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a Food Science related discipline.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with company peers and Post Holdings partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - listening and informing others effectively; excellent negotiating and influencing skills at all levels both internal and external.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction.
  • Must be a self-motivated self-starter.
  • Must possess the ability to always maintain external and internal confidentiality.
