Key Responsibilities- Conduct troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on various refrigeration units.
- Possess a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with tractor-trailer maintenance.
- Have specialized training and experience in overhauling refrigeration components.
- Utilize all necessary tools of the trade effectively.
- Diagnose complex engine conditions accurately and perform required repairs.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and service teams regarding repairs.
- Ensure quality control of work performed to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation upon completion of tasks.
- Meet certification requirements as necessary.
- Valid Driver's License (additional compensation for CDL holders).
- Exhibit a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability.
- Perform maintenance services focusing on refrigeration units, particularly Carrier and/or Thermo King systems.
- Test lines, components, and connections using various testing equipment.
- Interpret complex schematics related to refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Identify and document warrantable repairs on repair orders.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles when necessary to diagnose issues or confirm proper functionality.
- Possess a thorough understanding of Carrier Refrigeration systems; experience with Thermo King is advantageous.
- Additional mechanical skills in hydraulics, brakes & suspension, manual and automatic transmissions are desirable but not mandatory.
