Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Polly Pies. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and rinse dirty dishes, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment, and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
  • Maintain clean dishwater at all times and ensure the dishwashing area is a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand, and remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
  • Set up or break down the dishwashing area, clean and roll/unroll mats, and fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
  • Sweep/mop floors and clean drains, assemble/disassemble the dish machine, and sweep up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting, knife handling, and personal protective equipment, and conduct general store and restroom cleaning as directed.
  • Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry, and do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately, and notify the Coach on duty any time the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
  • Measure and assemble ingredients and prepare recipes and menu specifications in accordance with Polly Pies recipes, and complete other various tasks, including salad bar prep.
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, and be required to work varied hours, including daily dinner rush, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Fill in for different positions according to business needs when necessary.

  • Time management and adaptability, with the ability to work varied hours and fill in for different positions as needed.
