Job Title: Injection Room / Front Office Nurse (RN/LPN)

Family Allergy & Asthma is seeking a skilled and compassionate Injection Room / Front Office Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the injection room area for daily operations
  • Administer allergy injections with precision and care
  • Restock supplies and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Process patient charges and maintain accurate records
  • Collect co-pays and provide patient receipts
  • Monitor refrigerator temperatures and maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Discard expired vials and maintain accurate shot card records
  • Ensure patient consent forms are signed and explain shot room policies
  • Provide education to patients on first injection policies
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
  • Stay on duty for 30 minutes after the last injection to ensure patient safety
  • Clean and maintain the toy and lobby areas
  • Stay up-to-date on medications and IT treatment protocols
  • Manage emergency procedures and protocols effectively
  • Check emergency medications monthly and reorder as needed
  • Perform triage tasks and cross-train with other clinic roles as needed
  • Close offices regularly and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Front Office Responsibilities:
  • Check patients in and out, collect co-pays, and schedule appointments
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
  • Complete end-of-day clinic charge reports
  • Copy patient insurance cards and update information as needed
Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills, including fluency in English
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, handbooks, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and patients
  • Diploma in Nursing (LPN/RN) with an active and unrestricted IN Nursing License or eNLC multistate nursing license
  • 6 months' experience in a medical office setting
  • Previous allergy/asthma experience preferred
  • CPR certification required
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Active CPR Certification
  • Acceptable results on Office of Inspector General, State Medicaid Exclusions, Abuse Registry Checks, Background Screenings, Drug Screen, and Sanction Checks
  • Ability to travel to satellite offices as needed
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work with patients directly and pleasantly
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong computer skills
  • Previous experience with EMR systems
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with moderate noise levels and standard lighting. The employee is subject to infectious waste, potential exposure to allergens in concentrated forms, diseases, and conditions.
