Position Overview

The Association of California Water Agencies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to serve as the new General Manager. This role is pivotal in guiding the organization towards achieving its strategic objectives and ensuring effective governance.

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager will:

  • Implement the policy directives and decisions established by the Board of Directors.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee all operational activities of the agency.

  • Supervise subordinate managers and ensure efficient District operations.
  • Oversee engineering, planning, design, and construction initiatives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of executive management experience within the water sector.
  • An advanced degree in business or public administration or engineering is preferred.

This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of the water industry.
