The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance supervision and management, with experience in a large facility with mechanical, electrical, or construction skills.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and Oversee Maintenance Staff: Direct and supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff in the performance of site duties, including scheduling and assigning work, checking for completion and quality of work, and aiding associates in achieving company and personal goals.
- Ensure Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all warehouse equipment is properly serviced and maintained for a highly automated and technical facility by performing preventative maintenance, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assessment and repair.
- Manage Projects: Manage the completion of projects with minimal business interruption, supervising internal staff and/or outside vendors in the completion of projects involving buildings, facilities, grounds, equipment, and fire suppression systems.
- Coordinate Vendor Work: Coordinate the work of outside vendors/contractors on capital projects or repairs, obtaining bids on labor, materials, and schedules, and communicating with Sr. Operations management for project scheduling and progress.
- Administer Supplies and Contracts: Administer the ordering of janitorial and maintenance supplies and contracts for waste disposal services, identifying parts and supplies needed to maintain an appropriate level of inventory and spare parts to minimize downtime and limit expenses.
- Communicate with Site Management: Keep site management apprised of projects and status of day-to-day operations, attending operations meetings, preparing reports on project status, budget, inventory, scheduling of work, and outstanding issues.
- Maintain a Safe Workplace: Maintain a safe workplace by maintaining compliance and correcting routine issues, assisting in the facility's team effort to maintain a safe workplace.
- Education: Associate's Degree or Apprenticeship
- Experience: 4 to 6+ Years' Experience in maintenance supervisory or management position in a large facility with mechanical, electrical, or construction skills
- Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Electrician (preferred)
