**Job Summary**

The Oncology Nurse Navigator will participate in the care of Oncology patients currently going through treatment, by offering individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers. This position coordinates the patient experience ensuring timely access and seamless coordination of services throughout the continuum of care for Breast and Medical Oncology patients.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Participate in the care of Oncology patients
* Offer individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers
* Coordinate the patient experience
* Ensure timely access and seamless coordination of services

**Requirements:**

* BSN Degree
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia
* Current AHA BLS certification
* Demonstrate competence in clinical specialty (Oncology)
* Utilize advanced clinical thinking and analytical skills that contribute to patient adherence of treatment protocols and symptom management
* Competent in use of Electronic Medical Records
* Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) preferred
* Three years of direct nursing experience and demonstrated clinical competence
* Experience in Oncology preferred
