Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients to evaluate rehabilitation potential, identify needs, create personalized treatment plans, and establish goals for the overall care plan.
  • Set initial short-term and long-term goals.
  • Ensure the safe and proper use of equipment, maintaining inspection and maintenance logs, and reporting any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Keep detailed logs for necessary equipment in the outpatient clinic.
  • Adhere to the medical regimen prescribed for each patient, being mindful of necessary precautions.
  • Employ safe treatment techniques, including transfers, positioning, feeding, splinting, and various therapeutic modalities.
  • Complete discharge summaries for each patient during their final outpatient visit.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
