JBA International is in search of a dedicated and proficient Midlevel Litigation Counsel to enhance our legal team. This role presents an exceptional chance to engage in intricate business litigation cases within a supportive and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for a diverse clientele, including businesses and individuals, in multifaceted business litigation disputes.
- Participate in all stages of litigation, encompassing pleadings, motions, discovery, trials, and appeals.
- Oversee substantial and intricate litigation cases in both federal and state court systems as well as alternative dispute resolution forums.
- Perform legal research and compose high-caliber legal briefs, motions, and other litigation-related documents.
- Formulate and execute litigation strategies in conjunction with senior attorneys and clients.
- Engage in court appearances, depositions, and settlement discussions.
- Foster client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a prestigious law school with outstanding academic performance.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in complex business litigation; judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
- A minimum of two years in a litigation role at a law firm.
- Exceptional written and verbal advocacy skills.
- Proven ability to manage extensive and complex litigation cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively.
- Admission to the State Bar is mandatory.
Preferred Attributes:
- Demonstrated success in managing complex litigation cases.
- Experience with federal and state court proceedings.
- Knowledge of alternative dispute resolution methodologies.
