The Certified Nursing Assistant is a critical member of the Vidant Health team, providing essential support to the nursing department at the Outer Banks Hospital. This part-time position requires flexibility with rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily operations, including administrative tasks and basic nursing care.
- Support the nursing department by maintaining accurate records, ordering supplies, and communicating with patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Stay up-to-date with continuing education requirements and adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, successful completion of Nursing Assistant Course, and current certification as CNA I in the state of North Carolina.
- Current listing on the CNA I Registry with the Department of Facility Services.
- American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
- Knowledge of computer and other office equipment, along with ability to manage numerous projects and set priorities.
