Bus Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bus Driver - Passenger Transportation Specialist to join our team at THE FULLINGTON AUTO BUS COMPANY.

About the Role:

• This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified driver with excellent customer service skills to transport passengers safely and efficiently across various routes.
• You will be responsible for driving a large commercial motor vehicle, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, and adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive a large (26,001 or more pounds gross vehicle weight rate) Motor coach safety, comfortably, professionally, and in a timely manner.
2. Inspect the motor coach for defects and safe operating conditions before, during, and after trips; and submit a written report on the condition of the motor coach at the end of each trip or tour of duty.
3. Assist with boarding and discharge of passengers.
4. Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy congested traffic, inclement weather, etc.
5. Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including driver logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and other record required by law and Fullington Trailways, LLC.
6. Perform frequent loading and unloading of passenger luggage.
7. Promptly report all accidents/incidents involving driver, passengers, and/or company equipment.
8. Interface professionally with customers, hotels, accommodations, co-workers, and the general public.
9. Attend regularly scheduled drivers' meetings.
10. Communicate with passengers in a professional manner.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Class A or B with a passenger endorsement.
• Air Brake test for the removal of the air brake restriction.
• At least 21 years of age for insurance requirements.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
• Ability to follow instructions and take direction.
• Working knowledge of vehicle and safety control systems.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and transportation of passengers.
• Ability to accommodate passenger movement and be away from home for extended periods of time.

Estimated Salary: $17.50 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
