An Automotive Service Technician will be tasked with executing essential mechanical duties accurately and promptly, adhering to all company protocols, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities- Conduct all brake, front-end, and alignment maintenance, as well as mechanical repairs, in compliance with company standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to fellow employees in line with company practices.
- Maintain an organized workflow for customer service assignments to optimize productivity.
- Ensure that MFA Oil's exceptional service offerings are extended to every customer.
- Accurately diagnose and repair customer vehicles, overseeing quality control of all shop operations.
- Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss safety concerns, store policies, and updates on product information.
- Assist in the organization, documentation, and processing of all adjustments and core credits.
- Collaborate with management to achieve budgeted service-related objectives.
- Provide all necessary information for completed work to the counter personnel for accurate invoicing.
- Utilize the company’s external purchasing program to maximize profitability.
- Ensure consistent implementation of the vehicle inspection program.
- Meet established service, sales, and productivity targets.
- Support management in the onboarding and training of new staff.
- Complete all required training promptly.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a lube/tire/service technician is required.
- Availability to work during holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as necessary.
- Reliable transportation to work is essential.
- Ability to learn new concepts and utilize technical materials effectively.
- Proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity equipment.
- Capable of safely driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to communicate accurately with customers.
- Willingness to handle hazardous materials.
- Ability to work consistently in outdoor weather conditions.
- Commitment to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations.
- Essential vision, hearing, speech, and olfactory abilities.
- Ability to remain stationary (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift.
- Physical capability to move and retrieve products and supplies weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Must meet company requirements, including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two or more years of experience in an automotive shop environment.
- Relevant ASE certifications.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Capability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective prioritization and planning of work activities.
- Management of multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
