About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at AdventHealth. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Provides direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, individualized care.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
Requirements:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred or currently enrolled in BSN Program; must be willing to obtain BSN within 3 years from date of hire.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Prior ICU experience strongly preferred.
