Job Title: Clinical Assistant
Job Summary:
Norco, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to join our team. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a critical role in coordinating the setup and scheduling of medical equipment, as well as serving as a liaison between clinicians and referral sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with patients, physicians, therapists, insurance companies, and referral sources to optimize equipment needs for clients.
- Obtain necessary documentation and authorizations required for equipment coverage.
- Assist with clinical, sales support, and home transition staff, as needed.
- Assist customer service staff to coordinate respiratory-related discharges.
- Coordinate clinician schedules and patient set-ups, answer and route clinical staff/patient communications.
- Perform on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
- Previous homecare experience is preferred.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a caring, personable manner.
- Excellent public relations and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone demeanor.
- Ability to read written materials, PC screen, etc.
- Excellent office skills - (Microsoft Office, Docuware applications).
- Ability to learn new equipment and technologies quickly.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and over 50 lbs occasionally to a height of 36 inches.
- Valid Driver's license.
