Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Assistant

Job Summary:

Norco, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to join our team. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a critical role in coordinating the setup and scheduling of medical equipment, as well as serving as a liaison between clinicians and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with patients, physicians, therapists, insurance companies, and referral sources to optimize equipment needs for clients.
  • Obtain necessary documentation and authorizations required for equipment coverage.
  • Assist with clinical, sales support, and home transition staff, as needed.
  • Assist customer service staff to coordinate respiratory-related discharges.
  • Coordinate clinician schedules and patient set-ups, answer and route clinical staff/patient communications.
  • Perform on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

  • Previous homecare experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a caring, personable manner.
  • Excellent public relations and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone demeanor.
  • Ability to read written materials, PC screen, etc.
  • Excellent office skills - (Microsoft Office, Docuware applications).
  • Ability to learn new equipment and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and over 50 lbs occasionally to a height of 36 inches.
  • Valid Driver's license.
