Electrical Assembler Job Summary

At QPS Employment Group, we are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling precision components, working with sheet metal, and ensuring every part meets exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drill, ream, rivet, fit, countersink, adjust, finish, and inspect sheet metal parts to ensure specifications are met
  • Assemble components by installing ground studs, attaching nutplates, or bonding
  • Work from and follow process specifications, work orders, blueprints, rework/rejection tags, schedules, schematics, layout and modification sheets, and engineering orders
  • Pull parts from bins and report any shortages to the Supervisor
  • Work with different gauges and types of sheet metal aluminum according to product specifications
  • Clean components, load parts onto jigs/fixtures, and prepare them for assembly
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces as required
  • Perform quality checks, call for inspection, and work on rework tasks as needed to eliminate non-conformance
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure that all actions align with our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Scout every aspect of the job and report any improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the Supervisor

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, will be required to take a pre-employment assessment
  • Prior experience with blueprints and precision measuring devices is a plus
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10-50lbs occasionally
  • Ability to work in an environment with varying noise levels, ranging from quiet to extremely loud
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the manufacturing floor, including but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow work instructions and assemble parts
  • Skilled in using a variety of small hand tools
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members regularly
