The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, be punctual, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Previous experience in crate construction is essential, and familiarity with handling delicate, high-value items such as stone, glass, or artwork is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and verify orders, ensuring finished marble panels are packed according to specifications.
- Construct and/or assemble crates based on provided designs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage inventory transactions as required.
- Receive incoming shipments, checking them against purchase orders, and distribute accordingly.
- Load and unload products and materials onto and from trucks, returning them to inventory.
- Uphold a clean and organized work environment in both the yard and warehouse.
- Inspect tools and equipment, performing cleaning and maintenance as necessary.
- Safely handle, move, and store products and materials.
- Operate a forklift to manage marble slabs securely.
- Possession of a valid NYS driver's license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Experience in crate construction or a related field.
- Ability to interpret basic mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in using a tape measure.
- Forklift operation experience (certification is a plus).
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Completion of two pre-employment assessments.
- Capability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Health Insurance: 100% coverage for single enrollment after 90 days of employment.
