Kaiser Permanente is in search of a Radiology Technologist to join our team.

Position Overview

This role involves delivering diagnostic imaging services within a healthcare environment, including necessary administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will embody teamwork and align with the KPNW Mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting diagnostic radiological examinations using advanced imaging equipment. This includes routine, emergency, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic procedures, adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Managing image processing and utilizing the current RIS and PACS systems. Collaborating with radiologists for film quality assurance and exam clarification as needed.
  • Handling patient transport, filing duties, and maintaining supply inventory. Responsible for patient registration and scheduling.
  • Participating in an on-call or standby schedule as required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications:Experience:
  • N/A
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
Licensure and Certification:
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon).
  • Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is required at the time of hire.
Additional Skills:
  • Proficient in using diagnostic imaging equipment and healthcare computer systems.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with all staff members.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of radiology procedures, including fluoroscopy, DXA, surgical, portable, and routine radiographic exams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with digital radiographic exams within the last three years.
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to policies and procedures with flexibility.
  • Familiarity with McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records systems.
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Science or a related field is preferred.
