Job Summary

The Aircraft Technical Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of technical data required to support MRO operations. This role involves the development and review of time-compliant technical orders, repair procedures, and coordination with the government airworthiness authority for approval of all recommended changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Data Management: Review technical drawings for accuracy and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Program Coordination: Manage various aircraft-related improvement and maintenance programs, including the development and review of technical orders and repair procedures.
  • Design Change Preparation: Prepare design changes for both depot and unit-level maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Order Development: Develop time-compliant technical orders (TCTOs) and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
  • Prototype Development: Assist in the development and validation of prototype components and systems.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's of Science Degree in a technical discipline or five (5) years of related experience providing management support to engineering staff.
  • Skills and Abilities: Possess project scheduling, financial management, briefings, coordination, and graphic presentation skills, as well as technical studies expertise.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Related experience in an MRO environment on multi-engine turboprop aircraft is preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Work Environment: The work environment is an office setting with occasional visits to the aircraft maintenance area.
  • Physical Demands: The employee must be able to lift fifty pounds without mechanical assistance, bend, twist, squat, and lift, as well as access and work in all areas of the aircraft.
