Delivery Associate

At SURF Logistics, we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Delivery Associate to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our commitment to exceed customer expectations by delivering packages to homes, retail locations, and other delivery locations in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver packages to customers in a safe and timely manner, adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
- Interact with customers and the general public in a positive and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
- Use handheld technology to manage delivery progress, solve obstacles, and ensure accurate delivery of packages.
- Load, transport, and deliver packages to clients in a safe and timely manner, ensuring the delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times.
- Assist in training other drivers and may assist the dispatcher as needed.
Work Environment:
- Drive a delivery van up to 10,000 pounds to customer residences and businesses, climbing in and out of the van and walking up and down stairs as required.
- Flexibility is key, as routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic conditions.
- Work a core schedule of 10-hour shifts, 3 or 4 days per week, with adjustments possible depending on the time of year and prime seasons.
- Deliver packages 361 days per year, 7 days a week, in all weather conditions.
- Work at least one weekend day per week.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours.
- Ability to work 30-40 hours per week, with a full-time position available.
- Ability to work late evenings and weekends as required.
- Ability to operate and navigate a 10,000-pound van.
- Ability to effectively operate a GPS and smartphone.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move boxes up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of moving up and down stairs.
- Possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
- Clean drug screen test (drug test will be performed).
- 21 years of age or older.

- Proven track record of reliability.
- Prior professional driving experience.
- Excellent attention to detail with a skill set to problem-solve independently.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
