We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Oncology Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care.
The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing exceptional care to pets facing oncological challenges.
While prior veterinary experience is desirable, we are open to training the right candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to learning and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities- Acquire detailed medical histories from pet owners
- Assist with restraining pets for IV catheter placement and chemo treatments
- Support veterinarians with diagnostic procedures (x-rays, bloodwork, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet status and medication instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred experience in veterinary oncology or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to sit, stand, and move freely for extended periods
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
