We are currently seeking a qualified Community Support Services Coordinator for our 50-unit multi-family/senior residential property. The Community Support Services Coordinator will assist the Property Manager in ensuring that residents' needs are addressed by facilitating access to necessary agencies and services within the community. Above all, fostering a spirit of teamwork and collaboration with fellow team members will not only enhance your role but also enrich the overall work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations and referrals, coordinating services with local agencies.
  • Prepare status reports and HUD regulatory documentation required by all agencies.
  • Serve as a liaison between residents and management, connecting residents with community resources.
  • Manage case and crisis situations effectively.
  • Design and oversee special programs aimed at enhancing residents' health, wellness, cognitive engagement, and education.
  • Establish systems for conducting assessments and monitoring the effectiveness of services provided to residents.
  • Build and maintain positive professional relationships with staff, agencies, and residents.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in supportive or disability services is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree, certification, or proven effective performance in a related field is necessary.
  • A strong background in working with low-income individuals, including experience with those facing addiction, mental, physical, and developmental challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English are essential.
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality at all times.
  • Experience in community organizing and social work, with strong human service planning skills and the capacity to engage a diverse range of community members in planning initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher) and other relevant computer applications.
