Position Overview:

The Production Assembler is integral to our manufacturing operations, executing bench-type tasks to finalize mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools, as well as electronic and pneumatic equipment. Previous experience in mechanical or electrical assembly is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to standard operating procedures or work instructions.
  • Execute assembly tasks to produce complete products as per manufacturing schedules.
  • Utilize various fixtures, hand tools, and specialized equipment to assemble, modify, measure, cut, drill, adjust, test, or repair products.
  • Conduct quality control inspections, both visual and functional, of materials/products pre- and post-assembly.
  • Employ effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to assess the electrical and mechanical performance of finished assemblies.
  • Report any discrepancies in work orders, material lists, assembly instructions, or equipment issues to supervision.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with supervisors and team leads.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
  • Comply with established safety regulations.

Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

In performing the duties of this role, candidates are regularly required to communicate effectively, use hands and fingers to handle objects and tools, and maintain physical activity such as standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, and balancing. Occasionally, lifting and/or moving items up to 25 lbs may be necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level, and candidates must be able to access and inspect all machinery areas.
