About the Role: The Kansas City YMCA is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Senior District Program Director to oversee daily operations for our youth development programs. This leadership position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to drive high-quality programming and build strong relationships with families, staff, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and purposeful program operations that meet or exceed licensing and YMCA guidelines
- Model relationship-building skills and develop collaborative relationships with associates, families, and community organizations to maximize program impact
- Maintain regular communication within area of responsibility and ensure prompt responses to inquiries and complaints
- Recruit, supervise, coach, and evaluate associates, providing ongoing development and guidance while holding them accountable
- Develop team building opportunities to enhance work dynamics and create a positive environment
- Monitor program budget and complete projections and variance reports in partnership with the business team
- Actively recruit program participants and community partners
- Ensure expectations for high-quality programming are met through routine program evaluation and assessment
- Regularly visit sites to interact with associates and children, providing support during key hiring seasons
- Maintain knowledge of current grant funding requirements and assist with grant reporting
- Assist with maintaining proper associate to child ratio and support district fundraising campaign goals
- Collaborate with supervisor to implement volunteer recruitment and training plans

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university
- Three years supervisory experience in a school-age program setting
- Qualification for a director certification in Kansas or Missouri
- Strong knowledge of children aged five to twelve, including developmental stages and appropriateness
- Familiarity with current trends in after-school programming and curriculum, as well as statewide educational standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional computer skills and adaptability to new software
