Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Bus Driver to join our team at Centro de la Familia de Utah. As a Bus Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a school bus under the supervision of a Lead Bus Driver, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle at all times.
  • Transport children and parents/families to program activities, homes, and field trips, following a predetermined route schedule.
  • Assist the Bus Aide in ensuring the safety and well-being of children, including loading and unloading children, stopping at railroad crossings, and performing other specialized driving maneuvers.
  • Participate in annual reviews and training, including onboard observation and behind-the-wheel training to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.
  • Perform daily vehicle maintenance, including monitoring fluid levels, cleaning the interior and exterior, and reporting any issues to the Transportation & Facilities Manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current in-state Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a School Bus and Passenger endorsement.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
