As a Clinical Educator, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing education programs for nursing staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement education programs for nursing staff, including curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with nursing and physician management to identify education needs and develop comprehensive plans to meet those needs.
- Provide clinical education and training to nursing staff, including hands-on training and simulation-based education.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical research and best practices in pediatric cardiac ICU care.
- Master's degree in nursing, healthcare, education, or a related field.
- CCRN certification (or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire).
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in clinical nursing in a pediatric cardiac ICU setting and in nursing/clinical education.
- Clinical nurse educator experience preferred.
- BLS for healthcare provider from the American Heart Association.
- Licensed or eligible for licensing in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
- Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others.
- Proficient computer skills required.
